MINISTRY
This family has been called by Christ to minister to all who are in need. Where there is hunger, we strive to provide food. Where there is thirst, drink. Where there is nakedness, clothing. We come together to welcome the stranger and to care for the sick and imprisoned.
PRAYER MINISTRY
The First English prayer ministers believe whole-heartedly
in the power of prayer. They pray for the joys and concerns of our congregation, our community and our nation. If you have a prayer request, you may submit it by one of several means. In worship, you may place prayer requests in the offering plate. You may also make prayer requests via e-mail by contacting the FELC office at felc687@gmail.com. These requests will be held in the highest confidence unless you give permission that they be shared. If you would like to be included in publicly shared prayer, please make us aware that public knowledge is acceptable to you. We would like to pray for everyone publicly, but also respect your privacy.
EUCHARISTIC LAY MINISTRY
Regular visits with our homebound members, including opportunity to commune, are offered by the church. Both Pastor and Eucharistic lay ministers are honored to spend time with God and other disciples through this ministry. If you know someone who is homebound, and would like to have a Eucharistic Lay Minister visit, or if you are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Lay Minister yourself, please contact Judy Pressler or Wayne Young.
"Truly, I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
-Matthew 25:40
