WORSHIP

It is in worship that this family of faith gathers together to offer thanks and praise to the Author of Life and Light, our Lord Jesus Christ. It is here that we hear God's Word, receive God's forgiveness, and join the Body of Christ at the Table of Grace, where all are welcome to taste and see that the Lord is good!

Our worship is an ancient/future event. It is highly liturgical, and as such, reaches back to echo the worship of our ancestors. At the same time, it is also very contemporary, looking toward the future of Christian worship.

The Worship and Music Ministry of First English is dedicated to providing worship that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Through the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, Confession and Absolution, the preaching of the Word, and in music and liturgy, we proclaim the Good News. Worship is the central activity of a community of faith, and is therefore a high priority at First English. Here we strive to offer our best praise and thanksgiving to God - Father, + Son, and Holy Spirit.
